Ukraine's UN mission will be reinforced by 15 Ukrainian diplomats – Klimkin
Ukraine's mission to the United Nations will be backed up by the team of 15 diplomats following the appointment of Ukraine's representative to UN Volodymyr Yelchenko, Ukraine's Foreign Affairs Minister Pavlo Klimkin said.
"Yelchenko will be directly dealing with our membership in the Security Council, he will also serve as our representative to the UN. However, we increase our mission, we have set up a separate team, 15 diplomat were additionally selected during an open competition," Klimkin said in the interview with Hromadske TV.
One of Yelchenko's deputies will assist him in the matters related to the Security Council, the other one will aid with UN issues in general, the minister said.
"Therefore, don't worry – we guarantee that there will be no problems with the UN agenda as a result of our focus on the Security Council," the minister assured.
