Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk and Speaker of the Latvian Saeima Inara Murniece have discussed the possibility of visits of the speakers of the Baltic and Nordic countries to Ukraine in February.

The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine said Arseniy Yatseniuk during his working visit to Riga met with Speaker of the Latvian Saeima Inara Murniece.

"The parties separately discussed the issues of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries and the possible visits of the speakers of the Baltic and Nordic countries to Ukraine in February 2016," reads the report.

In addition, according to the report, Yatseniuk expressed appreciation to Murniece "for a significant personal contribution to the consolidation of the international community's support of Ukraine, as well as Latvia's humanitarian and medical assistance to Ukrainian servicemen wounded in the ATO zone, the children of deceased soldiers and the population of the temporarily occupied territories in Luhansk and Donetsk regions."
