Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has announced that the country's leadership will meet with the leaders of parliamentary factions to resolve issued related to the adoption of laws necessary to continue cooperation with the IMF.

''Today, at 18.00, the president and I will meet with the leaders of factions so that the efficient voting should be held in parliament tomorrow for the laws that need to be adopted by Ukraine in the framework of cooperation with the IMF and the World Bank,'' Yatseniuk said while opening a government meeting on Wednesday.

He said the parliament had failed to pass these laws during the last plenary week.

''I will ask members of the parliamentary coalition to pass these laws without delay, as getting the next $1.7 billion tranche from the IMF depends on it, it is about the financial, political and economic reputation of Ukraine," Yatseniuk said.

He added that the bills in question do not contain any unpopular measures, but are aimed solely at reform.

''I hope that we will have productive discussions and the seven bills will be discussed and adopted at first reading," Yatseniuk said.
