Ukroboronprom gives modern automated intelligence system to Ukrainian military

The Armed Forces of Ukraine has received a modern automated intelligence system developed by Ukroboronprom State Concern.
"The system is designed to provide navigational intelligence, determine the coordinates of points (targets, goals) in the locality and corrections for fire," the press service of the state concern said.
One of the main functions of the system is giving information on the distance to objects and sighting angles, saving current coordinates as waypoints, and calculations when determining the coordinates and altitudes of group goals. The system can also observe the battlefield and carry out electro-optical reconnaissance.
"The new automated intelligence system from Ukroboronprom is urgently needed, primarily for artillery and intelligence units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It meets all the modern requirements of Ukrainian military men. Today, we are actively introducing the mass production of this technology," the press service said.
The Defense Ministry in turn said the system was demonstrated to senior state and military officials at the 169th Desna training center of the Ground Forces.
The ministry added Ukroboronprom State Concern handed over 150 units of military equipment to the military in the first quarter of 2015.
