Ukrainian foreign minister thanks Latvia for supporting "Poroshenko plan" on de-escalation of situation in Donbas

Ukrainian and Latvian Foreign Ministers Pavlo Klimkin and Edgars Rinkevics have discussed negotiations relating to the de-escalation of the situation in Donbas in the negotiations in Kyiv.
The meeting focused on the exclusive importance of establishing real control over the Ukrainian-Russian border, the achievement of a permanent ceasefire, real headway on the release of hostages, and the restoration of normal life in Donbas, Klimkin said at a briefing he gave jointly with Rinkevics on Saturday.
"I am thankful for the permanent active and really biased support of President Poroshenko's peace plan, the support of the initiatives and the implementation of the Minsk agreements," Klimkin told his Latvian counterpart,
Klimkin pointed out that this is the first visit paid by Rinkevics since Latvia became chair of the EU.
