Cabinet will set up legal entity to implement law on creating public television and radio
The Ukrainian government at its meeting on November 5 did not made the decision on setting up a legal entity, necessary for the implementation of the law on the establishment of public television and radio, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Ostap Semerak has said.
"We have considered the issue of establishing a legal entity that was supposed to become an important factor in implementing the law on the establishment of public broadcasting. This decision has not been approved as a document, but we have made important decisions," he told reporters in Kyiv.
Semerak reported that a working group including representatives of the public and journalists would meet on November 7, at the meeting the parties will try to find the best model for the implementation of the law.
In addition, he said the Verkhovna Rada should additionally adopt a number of bills needed to implement the law on the establishment of public TV and radio broadcasting
