Wizz Air Ukraine to cut prices, suspend five flights from Donetsk

Wizz Air Ukraine has decided to reduce ticket prices and suspend some flights from Donetsk due to changes in the demand for air travel in Ukraine, according to a company press release.

"To stimulate air travel in conditions of low market demand, the airline has significantly reduced ticket prices – by an average of 20% - over a few past weeks. Lower prices will be available to passengers until the current market conditions change," reads the report.

In addition, starting from April 30, the airline will amend the schedule. In particular, it will suspend flights from Donetsk to Rome, Milan, Larnaca, Budapest, and Dortmund.

At the same time, the air carrier will launch the following flights: Lviv-Valencia, Lviv-Rome, Lviv-Tel Aviv, Lviv-Naples, Lviv-Barcelona, Lviv-Kutaisi, and Kyiv-Larnaca.

Passengers whose flights were canceled will get compensation.

Wizz Air Ukraine is a low-cost airline that operates a fleet consisting of four Airbus A320 aircraft. It offers flights to 32 destinations in 12 countries from four Ukrainian cities.
