Batkivschyna faction leader Arseniy Yatseniuk has said that he is ready for any developments related to the charges brought against opposition leaders in connection with a coup attempt.

"If they want to arrest us, we are ready for any developments," he said at a briefing in the press center of the national resistance headquarters on Tuesday.

Yatseniuk noted that he and several other opposition members had been interrogated as part of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - "this article concerns the seizure of state power."

However, he did not specify whether he was a suspect or a witness in the case.

He said that under this article it was necessary to question "[Ukrainian President] Viktor Yanukovych and other constitutional officials in Ukraine who seized power… and unconstitutionally changed the constitution."
