The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, on Tuesday failed to schedule regular elections for Kyiv mayor and Kyiv City Council deputies for June 2, 2013.

Only 209 lawmakers voted for a respective draft resolution at second reading, with at least 226 votes required to make a positive decision.
