Regions Party waiting for opposition's official bill on individual voting

The Regions Party parliamentary faction has denied claims it disrupted talks with the parliamentary opposition on unblocking the parliament's work and has called on the opposition to submit its official proposals on an individual voting bill.

"We want to see the parliament work and we want to take logical steps and accept proposals from our colleagues. Have you seen any official proposals from the opposition? No. I and haven't seen them either. We will discuss them as soon as we see them," the head of the parliamentary committee on the parliamentary regulations and Regions Party faction MP Volodymyr Makeyenko said.

He said members of the Regions Party faction have not seen an officially registered bill amending the parliamentary regulations with a number and signatures of members of the parliamentary opposition, as the opposition had submitted only written draft proposals.

"It is illogical that there are no official draft amendments to the regulations," Makeyenko said.

He added that the parliament can consider only officially registered bills.
