OSCE observers doubt reliability of count of votes in Belarusian election

1 min read

OSCE/ODIHR election monitoring mission head Antonio Milososki doubts the reliability of the count of votes in the latest Belarusian parliamentary election.

He said the quality of the election process deteriorated in the count of votes and observers were barred from participating in that procedure at many polling stations. The absence of the attested fairness of the count of votes cannot be a guarantee of fair elections, he said.

Milososki said he was personally barred from monitoring the count of votes by an election commission chairman.
