A day of mourning will be declared in Zaporizhia on January 9 in connection with the airstrikes that took the lives of 13 city residents on Wednesday.

"For the third time in the last month, a day of mourning will be declared in Zaporizhia region due to enemy attacks," Head of Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov said on Telegram.

According to him, at least 80 people have already sought medical help in hospitals after the attack.

Earlier, it was reported that 13 people were killed and 29 injured, including a teenager, as a result of the Russian strike on the city with guided bombs on Wednesday.

Fedorov also previously reported a day of mourning on January 9.
