Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Coca-Cola System of Companies and the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) have continued to help Ukrainians survive the cold by donating mobile boiler houses.

The project pays significant attention to communities that were under occupation or located near the front line. Their list was determined by the Ukrainian Red Cross Society in cooperation with local authorities.

Recently, energy facilities in Sumy region have been subjected to regular shelling. As a result, there are interruptions in electricity supply and, accordingly, in the supply of heat to homes and social infrastructure institutions.

As part of the cooperation between the Coca-Cola System of Companies and the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, two mobile boiler houses were donated to educational institutions in Shostka community. The equipment will provide children and staff with heat in the face of constant enemy attacks.

The boiler houses are made by a domestic manufacturer experienced in this field and are highly reliable, autonomous and energy efficient. They are a mobile heating module in which all the necessary equipment is assembled, connected and ready for operation and use natural gas, but are capable of switching to diesel fuel in the event of interruptions in gas supply. This mobility and modularity is an important factor, because it allows you to quickly restore heat supply in the right place, when every minute counts.

"In September 2024, Preschool Education Institution No. 3 Vedmezhatko received confirmation of participation in the partnership project of the Coca-Cola Company and the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, and already in December, a mini-boiler house was installed on our territory. We are grateful to the initiators of the project for the assistance provided, because now we will have a backup heat supply, which is extremely important in the current conditions," says the acting director of the institution, Iryna Yasiuk.

The Coca-Cola System of Companies allocated $8.5 million for the implementation of the mobile boiler house project on a Ukrainian scale in 2023 and 2024. In total, over the course of two years, the project provides for the transfer and installation of 105 boiler houses throughout the country. Their total capacity will heat up to 600,000 square meters of premises.
