The reports about Ukraine's former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's having spinal disc herniation are untrue, the Health Ministry of Ukraine said.

"At a meeting of the international medical commission on March 7, 2012, which involved, as you know, Ukrainian and German experts, following the examination of Tymoshenko, the issues of terminology used to describe the identified changes in the spine was discussed among others. The reports in the press and in online publications about the spinal disc herniation with reference to the words of our German counterparts do not correspond a decision taken at this meeting of the commission," the Health Ministry said in a statement issued on Saturday.
