Partners do not give permission to use long-range weapons being afraid of escalation - Zelenskyy

Ukraine has not used long-range weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation, partners do not give permission to use long-range weapons, because they are afraid of escalation, believes Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"We have long-range weapons but not in the quantity that we need, let's say. Nevertheless, we have this package - Storm Shadow, ATACMS, SCALP. However, neither America nor Great Britain gave us permission to use these weapons on the territory of Russia, against any targets at any distance. We have not used long-range weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation," Zelenskyy said at a meeting with journalists on Friday, September 20.
According to the president, partners do not give permission to use long-range weapons because they are afraid of escalation.
"Intelligence agencies around the world talk to each other. This has been the case during all wars. I think that at this level they exchange this or that information. There are many different factors, someone talks about something, someone agrees with someone, for someone this is really an escalation," Zelenskyy added.
He believes that U.S. President Joe Biden is really receiving information from his entourage today that this could lead to escalation.
"But, and this is important, not all of his entourage think so. And this is already an achievement that not all of his entourage thinks so," Zelenskyy emphasized.
