Ukrainian military commandant's office established in Kursk region headed by Major General Moskaliov – Syrsky
The military commandant's office was established on the territory of Kursk region controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is headed by Major General Eduard Moskaliov, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky said.
"To maintain law and order and ensure the primary needs of the population in the controlled territories, a military commandant's office has been established, its head has been appointed – Major General Moskaliov," Syrsky said in a report to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff Headquarters on Thursday.
According to him, on the territory of Kursk region, "the search and destruction of the enemy in the settlement of Sudzha and three other settlements has been completed."
Moskaliov, was born in 1973. In 2022-23, he was the commander of the grouping of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, later he was the commander of the operational-strategic grouping of troops Odesa. Before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he was Chief of Staff, First Deputy Commander of the Skhid (East) Operational Command of the AFU Ground Forces.
