Zelenskyy: Our missile program has good dynamics
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the Ukrainian missile program already has good development dynamics and over time the state should achieve maximum defense independence.
"Our missile program is moving well, and although it is a difficult task, we are gradually getting closer to the ability to use our own missiles, and not just rely on missiles supplied by partners. Ukraine must, over time, achieve maximum defense independence – it is precisely such states that always find it easier to find effective allies and realize their interests," he said in an evening video address.
According to Zelenskyy, "we are working with partners to increase the effective defeat of Russian forces, their logistics, their significant positions not only at the front directly, but throughout the entire available depth."
"But while we are waiting for our partners' decisions, we are looking for our own solutions, our own options for action. The key here is our drones, our flexibility in using drones. Ukrainian soldiers have already proven that they are true innovators in many areas of the use of drones. And this should be continued, and we will continue it," the head of state said.
He also said Ukrainian leadership in this technological aspect is truly noticeable.
As reported, on Tuesday, participants in the Headquarters meeting, headed by the president, considered, among other things, issues of developing their own missile production.
