PM: Govt approves draft memo, loan agreement within Ukraine Facility to raise EUR 6 bln in spring 2024
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the draft memorandum and loan agreement within the Ukraine Facility, which is expected to attract up to EUR 4.5 billion in March and up to EUR 1.5 billion in April 2024, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.
"Today the government is approving two documents that will enable Ukraine to receive EUR 6 billion in March and April of this year," Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Friday.
The Prime Minister said we are talking about the approval of the draft memorandum and loan agreement with the EU, which envisages the allocation of up to EUR 4.5 billion in March and up to EUR 1.5 billion in April 2024.
"Ukraine will have the resources to fight and win. This is our key goal and we are doing everything necessary for this," he said.
As reported, on March 8, Executive Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis said Ukraine will receive the first tranche under the Ukraine Facility program in the amount of EUR 4.5 billion in March 2024, and the second tranche for EUR 1.5 billion will go to April.
