2 min read

Ten territorial communities that suffered as a result of Russian aggression will receive advisory assistance in preparing recovery and development plans within the framework of the Early Recovery of Ukraine project, the press service of the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine reported.

The competition for the selection of communities was announced with the support of the UK government (UK Aid). Ten communities selected as a result of the competition will receive assistance in preparing restoration and development plans and relevant design and estimate documentation, the press release says.

In addition, all communities that have filled out forms for cooperation with the Early Recovery of Ukraine project will be able to participate in training events (how to attract funding from international partners, establish inter-municipal cooperation, work with digital tools, including the DREAM system, etc.).

“The Ministry fully supports and encourages the leadership of communities in developing plans for local renewal. It is valuable that British partners are involved in this process. The competition within the framework of our joint project ‘Early Recovery of Ukraine’ will provide an opportunity for communities not only to develop plans, but also to begin their implementation in the territories most affected by Russian aggression,” the press service quoted Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov as saying.

The Good Governance Fund project "Early Recovery of Ukraine" is an initiative that supports the territorial communities of Ukraine in recovery and increases the state's ability to manage regional development projects. A joint project of the Ministry of Reconstruction with the support of the British government, is implemented by Abt Britain and KPMG-Ukraine LLC.

Interested communities can fill out the form via the link until 18:00 of October 23, 2023.
