National join-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy has signed a contract with Garant Energy M LLC, which manages property of Novy Rozdil and Novoyavorivsk combined heat and power plants (CHPP, Lviv region), for supply of gas and distributed the required applications to ensure their operation, the company's press service has reported.

For signing the contract Garant Energy M LLC opened accounts with special regime and fulfilled the requirements of the law on heat supply, recognizing the debts accumulated by the combined heat and power plants in the amount of UAH 305.2 million and confirming its right to manage the plant's assets.

"This is the first time that Naftogaz has entered into a contract for the supply of gas with heating plants, which property has been arrested and transferred to the National Agency for Stolen Asset Recovery (NASAR)," the company said.

"We took advantage of all the opportunities to conclude the contract as soon as possible under the conditions stipulated by the legislation and to provide heat to almost 70,000 residents of Lviv region, who depend on the operation of Novy Rozdil and Novoyavorivsk CHPPs," First Deputy Head of Naftogaz Serhiy Pereloma said.

As reported, the Kyiv's Solomiansky District court seized the assets of the Novy Rozdil and Novoyavorivsk CHPPs (Energia-Novoyavorivsk LLC and Energia-Novy Rozdil LLC) in Lviv region at a request of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine. After that, the CHPPs were transferred to the temporary administration of NASAR.
