Justice ministry reports on collecting of over UAH 175 mln of wage arrears since early 2018

Agencies of the State Enforcement Service since early 2018 have collected over UAH 175 million of wage arrears from 64 employers in favor of 13,500 employees, Ukrainian Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko has said.

"Thanks to the work of the regional agencies for collecting the wages arrears, we recovered almost UAH 80 million from unscrupulous employers in seven weeks. Some 5,700 workers have finally received the earned money," the press service of the Justice Ministry said on Thursday, citing Petrenko.

According to him, most of the debts were paid by Severodonetsk Azot (UAH 12.6 million in favor of 501 employees), PJSC Rivneazot (UAH 3.7 million in favor of 117 employees) and PJSC Lysychanskvuhillia (UAH 2.5 million in favor of 118 employees).

Currently, the top three debtors are: Kharkiv State Aviation Production Enterprise with the amount of debt of UAH 74 million, state-owned enterprise 61 Communard Shipyard - UAH 30.5 million and PJSC Football Club Metalist - UAH 28.6 million.

"Currently, enforcement agencies have 17,000 executive documents to collect wages for the amount of UAH 414.9 million, and in addition, 9,200 executive documents for UAH 195.8 million, for which debtors are state-owned enterprises," the minister said.
