Ukrtransgaz to conduct scheduled repair on Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod, Progress gas pipelines on May 22-24

Public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz will conduct the second stage of scheduled repair works on the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod and Progress trunk gas pipelines, the company's press service has told Interfax-Ukraine.

In particular, it is planned to carry out repair works at Hrebinka, Stavysche, Bar and Bohorodachany compressor stations. Unsound spots of gas pipelines will be repaired and crane 1 of gas pumping unit 2 will be replaced at the Stavysche compressor station.

In the period of repairs the largest amount of gas will be accepted at the Sudzha gas metering station (210 million cubic meters a day), and the largest output via the Berehove, Tekovo and Uzhgorod gas metering stations is 225 million cubic meters a day.

In the period from May 2 through May 12 Ukrtransgaz conducted the first stage of scheduled repair works on the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod and Progress trunk gas pipelines. Unsound cranes were replaced and other works were carried out. Gas transportation via the Hrebinka compressor station was fully stopped. The highest input via the Sudzha station was 90 million cubic meters a day and the highest output via Tekovo, Berehove, Uzhgorod and Drozdovchi stations was 136 million cubic meters a day.

Ukrtransgaz said that along with repair works at Ukrainian pipelines, Gazprom and operators of other countries that are involved in gas transit conducted repair works at their sections of the gas pipelines.
