The Ukroboronprom State Concern is joining the initiative of the Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine to develop newest transport technologies in Ukraine and will take part in the creation of the Hyperloop high-speed transport system, the press service of the concern reported on Thursday.

Ukroboronprom Head Pavlo Bukin said that at present the concern has over 30 research and development centers, some of which have technologies and scientific experience required for the implementation of the project.

"Dozens of other industrial enterprises of the concern under the program of additional loading of production facilities after the implementation of the state defense procurement program could join production of end-products or knots or aggregates," the press service said, citing the concern head.

Along with the Ukroboronprom, the participants in the project are the National Academy of Science of Ukraine, Octagonal Corporation, state-owned enterprise Pivdenmash (Yuzhmash), OJSC Kakhovka Electric Welding Equipment Plant, Interpipe Ukraine LLC, Unit.City, Dnipro Development Agency, Innovations Development Platform and Ukrainian Institute for the Future, the press service said.
