DTEK Naftogaz plans to annually commission three or four new wells at its facilities using two or three drilling rigs, Ivan Hafych, the director for exploration and prospective development at DTEK Naftogaz, has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"We will use two or three drilling rigs. These are three or four wells commissioned every year," he said.

According to him, following the tender for drilling four wells on Semyrenkivske gas condensate field, in which 14 companies participated and the winner was Belorusneft, it is planned to conduct other tenders for drilling.

"This is the first tender for drilling four wells. There will be other tenders. They are built in such a way that each tender has a pool of wells for the work of a drilling rig for at least 2-3 years. This is the principle and condition under which foreign drilling companies come to Ukraine," the expert said.

He specified that in addition to the four production wells on Semyrenkivske field, it is also planned to drill two exploration wells with a depth of 7,000 meters

"Based on their results, a new drilling program will be drawn up. We have other objects, we also conduct tenders there and from next year we will start drilling at least four more wells," he said.
