The pension reform will lead to the increase in pensions for the majority of citizens, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has stated.

"I will offer an honest pension reform to Ukrainian citizens. You'll see, each of you who retired how it will impact your pension, and I assure this will lead to the increase in pensions for the majority of Ukrainian citizens," he said on the air of ICTV Channel.

Groysman noted the pension reform would allow eliminating the Pension Fund deficit, while the received funds would be used to support pensioners.

The prime minister stressed the reform would be carried out in 2017.

According to him, the measures taken by the government, in particular, the increase in the minimum wage from January 1, entailed a 30% increase in revenues to the Pension Fund.
