UIA airline settles debt to Boryspil airport – airport head

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has no debt to its hub airport, the Boryspil International Airport (both based in Kyiv).

"The previous years' debts after negotiating our relations were set at UAH 220 million and were paid. We used bills of exchange at 23% per annum and received some UAH 10 million of additional revenue from them," acting Director General Yevhen Dykhne said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.

He said that UIA today has settled its debt to the airport..

Boryspil International Airport is the main airport of Ukraine. The airport has two runways: one with a length of 4,000 meters and a width of 60 meters, and the second with a length of 3,500 meters and a width of 63 meters. Four passenger terminals, postal and cargo complexes are located on the territory of the airport.

UIA is the largest Ukrainian airline. Its hub airport is Boryspil (Kyiv). The UIA fleet consists of 32 aircraft, including 28 medium-haul and four long-haul airplanes.
