Shareholder in Alfa-Bank Cypriot ABH Ukraine issues one-year notes worth $50 mln

The only shareholder in Alfa-Bank (Kyiv) – Cypriot ABH Ukraine – on December 1, 2015 issued loan participation notes (LPNs) worth $50 million with coupon of 10% per annum due on November 30, 2016, Alfa-Bank said in a press release.

The bank said that the notes were issued under S rules of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission with listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Renaissance Capital (London) acts as organizer of the issue.

"The positive effect from the debut placement in the conditions of the increased volatility on capital markets gives grounds for ABH Ukraine to issue more notes if investors show their interest in them," the bank said.

Alfa-Bank CEO Rushan Khvesiuk said that the successful placement of the debut LPN issue by ABH Ukraine is evidence that investors trust shareholders of Alfa Group.

Alfa-Bank was founded in 1993. It is part Alfa-Bank private international banking group, combining banking institutions in Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, the Netherlands.

The sole shareholder of the bank as of October 1, 2015 was ABH Ukraine Limited (Cyprus).

The bank ranked 8th among 123 operating banks as of October 1, 2015, in terms of total assets worth UAH 41.904 billion, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
