Roshen wants to lease land parcel to build biscuit factory in Kyiv region

Roshen confectionary corporation plans to lease a land parcel to build a new biscuit factory in Boryspil, Kyiv region.

According to a company press release, vacant land parcels in Kyiv region were thoroughly studied.

"Boryspil town was selected the most optimal location for the future biscuit complex, which is firstly not far from the Roshen's logistics center in Yahotyn and secondly it has many skilled specialists," the company said.

In July 2015, the company asked the town administration to inform it on the availability of land parcels that would meet the company's requirements. A land parcel of 19 hectares with five separate land parcels was offered to the corporation. The land parcels were leased in 2006-2007.

Roshen said that none of the leasers of these five land parcels used them, and in fact did not pay rent.

"Agreeing of the decision to permit current leasers to transfer their land parcels to sub-leasing is a transparent and legal way for providing the economic development of Boryspil," the corporation said.

If the land parcel is received under sub-leasing and general conditions, and if the feasibility study has positive conclusions, Roshen plans to pass the transparent procedure for registering ownership rights to the land parcel under Ukrainian law.
