Justice ministry's online service shows info on companies in bankrupt cases

Information on companies against which bankruptcy cases have been opened can be viewed quickly and free of charge on the website of the Justice Ministry of Ukraine, and over 4,000 companies and individuals have used this online service, the Justice Ministry has reported.

Deputy Justice Minister Anton Yanchuk said at a briefing on Monday that around two weeks ago the Justice Ministry opened access to the state register of companies against which bankruptcy cases were opened.

"At present, any individual or company can use the electronic service and receive information making simple steps on the website of the Justice Ministry," Yanchuk said.

He said previously a written request sent to the territorial department of the Justice Ministry was required to receive this information. The response was sent in the written form during five working days from the moment of the request being received.

He said that now the information is viewed as a reference on the screen of a device and it can be printed. The reference is given in two forms – the cut form and extended form.

Yanchuk said that in 2014 around 100,000 people applied to receive paper documents, and from the moment of launching the online service (May 15, 2015) over 4,000 of the reference forms were issued.
