Revenue of local budgets' general fund 35.4% up in Q1 2015 – ministry

Revenue of the general fund of local budgets in January-March 2015 came to UAH 21 billion, which is UAH 5.5 billion or 35.4% up year-over-year, the Finance Ministry of Ukraine has reported.

According to the ministry's tentative data posted on its website, the annual revenue target was over-fulfilled by 28.6% in the first quarter of 2015.

The ministry said that the data is presented, not taking into account territories which are temporarily not under control of Ukrainian authorities.

The ministry said that revenue from individual income tax rose by 14.1%, to UAH 10.74 billion, land tax - by 23.3%, to UAH 3.2 billion, and the annual targets for the taxes were over-fulfilled by 25.2% and 27.7% respectively.

The new additional 5% excise duty brought UAH 1.15 billion to local budgets and property tax – UAH 45.5 million with the annual target of UAH 226.2 million.

The ministry said that Kyiv city and region residents paid the largest sums of excise duty – UAH 53.10 and UAH 47.40 per capita with the average indicator in the country of UAH 26.70 per capita. Payments in Zakarpattia, Volyn, Lviv and Odesa region varied from UAH 39.90 to UAH 31.80 per capita. Donetsk and Luhansk regions brought UAH 8.50 and UAH 5 per capita.

Kyiv city residents paid the largest sums for property tax – UAH 11 million, or almost one fourth of payments to the local budgets.
