Kyivstar notes difficulties in payments for electricity and rent in Crimea due to transfer to ruble

The Kyivstar mobile operator has noted difficulties in payments to its partners for electricity and rent in Crimea in connection with the transfer of the peninsula to the ruble zone.
"Due to the inability to use the hryvnia on the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, the company has difficulties in making payments to its partners, in particular - payments for rent and electricity. For this reason, equipment and base stations (including nodal ones) on the territory of Crimea are breaking down, which has led and will lead to further deterioration of communications. The quantity of de-energized equipment is gradually increasing," reads the statement by Kyivstar, posted on its official Web site.
The company notes that these circumstances cannot be eliminated by the company's efforts, but added that it would make every effort to maintain quality coverage and apologizes to subscribers.
As reported, from June 1 the circulation of the Ukrainian hryvnia in Crimea and Sevastopol was stopped.
