Energoatom wants to raise UAH 400 mln from Oschadbank

National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom plans to raise a multi-currency credit line equivalent to UAH 400 million from state-run Oschadbank, the company said in the Visnyk Derzhavnykh Zakupivel bulletin.

The company said that the offer was accepted on February 18, 2014. The agreement is to be signed by March 20, 2014.

The loan funds are to be attracted for one year. Their purpose is not disclosed. The funds will be raised at 19.5% per annum in hryvnias or 12% per annum in the U.S. dollars.

As reported, Energoatom cut electricity production in 2013 by 7.7% or 6.928 billion kilowatt-hours compared to 2012, to 83.417 billion kilowatt-hours.

Energoatom is the operator of all four Ukrainian-based operating nuclear power plants, which have 15 VVER reactors with an overall generating capacity of 13.835 GW.
