Profit of Raiffeisen Bank Aval skyrockets by 21.6 times in 2013

The profit of Raiffeisen Bank Aval (Kyiv) came to UAH 730.045 million in 2013, which is 21.6 times up year-over-year (UAH 33.847 million), the bank has said in a report.

The bank said that its loss in October-December 2013 totaled UAH 7.667 million, which is 4.5 times down year-over-year (UAH 34.72 million).

Its net interest-bearing income totaled UAH 3.91 billion in 2013, which is 3.4% down on a year ago (UAH 4.046 billion).

Total assets decreased by 9.1%, to UAH 43.46 billion, including a rise of 3.7% in credits and debts of clients, to UAH 27.047 billion.

Reserves for overdue credits were down by 10.8%, to UAH 8.849 billion, or 32.7% of the total sum of credits and debts of clients.

The charter capital of the bank rose by 0.01%, to UAH 3.003 billion. The bank's net worth was up by 14% in 2013, to UAH 7.237 billion.

Raiffeisen Bank Aval (formerly Bank Aval) was founded in 1992. Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI, Austria) was its largest shareholder as of January 1, 2014 with 96.4466%.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, on October 1, 2013 in terms of total assets (UAH 44.804 billion) Raiffeisen Bank Aval ranked 5th among the 178 banks operating in Ukraine.
