European integration will facilitate construction of energy saving housing in Ukraine, says expert
Ukraine's signing the Association Agreement with the European Union and an agreement on the establishment of a free trade area will stimulate Ukrainian developers to use more energy saving materials, head of BuildGroupManagement developer (Irpin, Kyiv region) Ihor Vishniakov has said.
According to a press release, citing Vishniakov, such actions are explained by the need to raise domestic tariffs for gas and electricity for the population.
At the same time, the existing modern technologies of wall insulation and heating systems allow reductions in the monthly cost of utilities of 30-50% of the average market price to be achieved.
"The difference between the price per square meter in empty "boxes," which foresee only minimal insulation, and modern, heat-insulated energy efficient buildings in Kyiv and the region will not exceed $150-200 per square meter. This is about $10,000 per one-room apartment of 50 square meters. But these costs will pay back with interest in about two or three years due to energy saving," he said.
The expert is sure that energy efficient buildings are more attractive for investment.
BuildGroupManagement was established in October 2007.
The company's investment portfolio consists of 37 residential buildings and three complexes under construction.
