The head of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky has been dismissed from his post, MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak (the Holos faction) reported.

According to his message on Telegram on Monday evening, such a decision was made by the supervisory board of Ukrenergo by a majority vote - 4:2 after the demand for dismissal, voiced at the Headquarters of the Commander-in-Chief on August 30.

At the same time, the MP noted that there would be a reaction from international partners and consequences that this decision will entail.

"I think the return will also be quick and quite painful," Zhelezniak expressed his opinion.

According to the report of the All-Ukrainian Energy Assembly on Telegram, headed by former Energy Minister Ivan Plachkov, all three members of the supervisory board who represent the state (carrying out the task of voting) voted for Kudrytsky's dismissal: Yuriy Tokarsky, Oleksandr Baraniuk and Yuriy Boiko, as well as one of the independents Roman Piontkovsky.

The head of the supervisory board, Daniel Dobbeni, and Peder Andreasen voted against. It is indicated that September 4 is Kudrytsky's last working day as the head of the board.

According to media reports, citing government sources, Oleksiy Brekht, a member of the board, will temporarily head Ukrenergo.

There is no official information from Ukrenergo yet.

As reported, on September 1, EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Mathernova, regional heads of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in a letter to Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal stated the need to suspend any management decisions on Ukrenergo until the final formation of the company's supervisory board, which will have six members instead of seven.
