Coca-Cola to make gifts for people in difficult situations for holidays
Families in difficult life situations will receive a popular drink from Coca-Cola for the winter holidays.
"The Ukrainian plant Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine has begun bottling one and a half million bottles of Coca-Cola with the inscription For You on the label. These one-and-a-half-liter bottles are designed to become a special gift for families in difficult life circumstances, large families, internally displaced persons, elderly people, people with disabilities and residents of frontline territories," the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) reported on Facebook on Tuesday.
According to Andriy Bublyk, Director of Corporate Relations and Sustainable Development at Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine, last year during the winter holidays, the company donated one million bottles of Coca-Cola to Ukrainians in difficult life circumstances as a sign of solidarity and support.
"This year, we decided to increase the number of bottles to one and a half million. They are already being sent around the country thanks to the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, the M.R.I.YA Charitable Foundation and volunteer employees of our company," said Bublyk.
As Maksym Dotsenko, Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, noted, the URCS has been supporting this initiative for two years, donating drinks to communities in cooperation with partners.
"This is another manifestation of attention and care for people during the war. We believe that support is of great importance, especially in difficult times of life," Dotsenko emphasized.
Beginning February 24, 2022, The Coca-Cola System of Companies and The Coca-Cola Foundation have committed to providing Ukrainians with charitable assistance in the amount of more than $35 million.
