Zelenskyy on Macron's initiative to send Western troops to Ukraine: If any initiatives strengthen Ukraine, they are good for whole world

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that if any of the initiatives of the leaders of certain states are aimed at strengthening Ukraine in repelling Russian aggression, then they will be good for the whole world.

"Regarding any initiatives: if they strengthen Ukraine, they will be good for the whole world," Zelenskyy said at a press conference following the Ukraine-Southeastern Europe summit.

Commenting on the French leader's statement, Zelenskyy said he was not physically present at the summit to support Ukraine in Paris, but Macron notified him the day before that he would talk about certain new ideas to strengthen Ukraine.

"And he will share with me when he arrives in Ukraine in March. And then I will be deep in detail and will be able to share with you more specifically," the president said.

The head of state also said he had a substantive conversation with Macron earlier.

"In particular, the artillery coalition that is being created with the United States is very specific things. And we need to survive, and for Ukraine to survive these are very specific decisions. That is why I cannot share with you, for example, the amount of artillery or 155-caliber ammunition... That is, I mean that we have a decision, and what we need is to survive. And everything that we decided and everything where we have agreements and contracts to help, everything should be on time. This is the basic fundamental initiative: give us on time if you can. Carry out your decision to support us if you can," he said.

"That's why Macron had many initiatives on how to strengthen Ukraine on the battlefield. We talked a lot about intelligence, about drones, about joint production, about technical things," Zelenskyy said.

At the same time, Zelenskyy said: "The main thing you need to understand: when we share different initiatives, they are all like the second, third, fourth step, and the first step is to protect yourself and stay strong."

"This is important because now we have questions about aid packages from our partners both from Europe and the United States. We are very grateful to them, but now it is important to be strong, because we have no alternative. We are dealing with a killer. It's just with the killer. Hitler: part two," he said.

"All of us must prepare for Putin's next steps and be strong. If not all of us are ready to push him away, then we must all prepare for the fact that there will be missiles in the morning or at night. This is our signal – the stronger we are in Ukraine, the weaker there will be Putin," he said.
