Zelenskyy orders to create comprehensive system to unite army and industry
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with representatives of the defense industry, government officials and servicemen, following which the head of state ordered the creation of "a comprehensive system that would unite the army and industry."
"I held a meeting with the government, military and defense industry representatives in order to provide our soldiers with new modern weapons against enemy reconnaissance drones. Orlan or ZALA above the frontline are the eyes of the Russian artillery forces and attack drones. Ukraine has a solution that can make them blind. We need to introduce a system approach from identification to effective use of electronic warfare and means of destruction," the president said on the Telegram channel on Wednesday.
Zelenskyy also said that he "ordered to create a comprehensive system that would unite the army and industry. So that manufacturers can know for sure the needs of the front, and the army – production capabilities in all regions."
The head of state emphasized that the front requires quick response to the challenges and threats.
"We have to do everything to protect the main thing we have on the battlefield – the lives of our soldiers," Zelenskyy said.
