For the first time in Latin America, resolution condemning Russian aggression against Ukraine adopted – Rada representative

Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk announced the adoption of the final Declaration for a free America, which for the first time in Latin America included a separate paragraph expressing solidarity with the people of Ukraine, support for the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine and condemning Russian aggression against our state, the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reported on Friday evening.

"We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine that are suffering from an unjustified, unprovoked Russian aggression and call on all countries of the Americas to join in the implementation of the Peace Formula to achieve a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine, consistent with the UN Charter," the text of the document says.

Kondratiuk said that this happened for the first time since the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, when it was possible to condemn Russian aggression in such a wide format of Latin American countries. For the first time in such a broad inter-party format, uniting 34 parties from 21 Latin American states, it was possible to attract the attention of the public and politicians of this region to the struggle waged by the people of Ukraine against the aggressor country Russia.

"We have an excellent result of the joint and hard work of my team together with the Ukrainian Embassy in Mexico, headed by Madam Ambassador Oksana Dramaretska. This is also a great success for the delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," Kondratiuk said, thanking everyone who helped and supported the delegation in this difficult mission.
