On the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed a number of bilateral issues, including cooperation in the field of civil defense and protecting people's lives, the website of the head of state said.

At the same time, Zelenskyy reportedly informed the Israeli prime minister about the situation at the front and air strikes, in particular using Iranian-made drones, which Russia continues to launch against peaceful Ukrainian cities, civilian facilities and port infrastructure.

The head of the Ukrainian state expressed concern about the increasingly close military cooperation between Russia and Iran.

Zelenskyy also invited Israel to support the Ukrainian Peace Formula. In particular, he spoke about the preparations for the Global Peace Summit.
