Russian army builds up strength, tries to fulfill 'minimum plan' to occupy east of Ukraine - Dpty Defense Minister

The army of the Russian Federation is building up strength and is trying to fulfill its "minimum plan" to capture the east of Ukraine, so there is no talk of stabilizing the situation at the front, Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Hanna Maliar has said.

"The operational situation is as follows: the war continues. It is clear that people are waiting for some news every day, but in fact, some military operations take days, and sometimes even weeks. And what now seems to be a kind of stabilization is not so, in fact. Now the enemy is building up its forces. There is no lull and there is no stabilization. It's just that as of now, the Russian army is trying to fulfill its 'minimum plan', and this is the east of Ukraine," she said on the air of the national telethon UArazom.

The deputy head of the defense department did not rule out that in the future the Russian troops would probably adjust their plans, and therefore "we must adequately understand that all of Ukraine is their ultimate goal anyway."
