The command of the Russian army is preparing for an offensive operation in eastern Ukraine, and additional units of the Russian army are currently being regrouped and relocated, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Monday.

"The enemy command, in order to prepare for an offensive operation in the east of Ukraine, is deploying elements of the operational construction of an offensive grouping and is building up the control system. The occupation troops are regrouping and trying to improve the tactical situation in certain areas in the south of Ukraine," the report says.

It clarifies that the formation and relocation of additional units of the Russian Federation to participate in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine continues.

There are no changes in Volyn direction, units of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus with up to four battalion tactical groups continue to perform tasks to cover the border.

In Polissia direction, there remains a high probability of missile and bomb attacks on military and civilian infrastructure facilities by hostile aircraft taking off from Belarusian airfields.

"There is a movement of units of the Eastern Military District and airborne troops from the territory of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation. The movement of weapons, military and personnel is carried out by rail and by air. According to available information, separate units of the 35 combined arms army (Belogorsk) and 36 combined arms army (Ulan-Ude) of the Eastern Military District is located in the areas of the settlements Rechitsa and Yampol (Gomel region of the Republic of Belarus)," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasizes.

They specify that in Siverske direction, the enemy has completed the withdrawal of units from the Central Military District to the territory of Kursk region and has begun their further movement.

In Slobozhanske direction, the enemy continues to block Kharkiv, makes artillery attacks on the city, regroups troops. Its strengthens the air defense cover of important objects in Belgorod area and areas of concentration of troops in Kharkiv direction.

"To clarify the positions of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy is conducting reconnaissance in the area of the village of Barvenkove using UAVs, and is also trying to restore the bridge over the Siversky Donets River near the town of Izium. Near the settlement of Brazhkivka, by forces in a tank company tactical group, the enemy conducted reconnaissance by combat, had no success, retreated to the previously occupied lines," the AFU emphasizes.

It is clarified that there remains a high probability of air and missile strikes on civilian objects in Kharkiv, preparations are underway for an offensive in the direction of Sloviansk.

In Donetsk and Tavriyske directions, the main efforts of the enemy are concentrated in the areas of the settlements of Rubizhne, Popasna, preparation for the offensive on Severodonetsk, as well as gaining full control over the city of Mariupol. The enemy has inflicted eight air strikes on it today, street fighting continues. Ukrainian defenders are holding the defense of the city.

At the same time, the enemy completes the regrouping and replacement of units that have lost offensive capabilities in order to resume active offensive operations.

In the Southern Bug (Pivdenny Buh) direction, our troops are pushing back the occupiers in Kherson region. The enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance in the area of Mykolaiv with the use of UAVs.

"In the Black Sea and Azov operational zones, the activity of the enemy's naval grouping in the Black Sea has been reduced due to difficult weather conditions (storm up to 4 points). The rest of the enemy ship formations perform tasks in certain areas," the General Staff summed up.
