Ukraine records 3,939 new COVID-19 cases per day, 15,052 people recovered
As of Tuesday morning, some 3,939 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease were recorded in Ukraine, some 15,052 people recovered and some 177 patients died, Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov said.
"Some 3,939 new cases of COVID-19 disease were recorded in Ukraine as of January 19, 2021. In particular, 131 children and 238 medical workers fell ill. Some 801 people were hospitalized, some 177 people died and 15,052 people recovered over the past day," Stepanov wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday morning.
The day before, on January 18, some 3,034 new cases of COVID-19 disease were recorded; on January 17, some 5,990 new cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded; on January 16, some 7,729 cases of COVID-19 were reported; on January 15, the minister reported 8,199 new cases of COVID-19; on January 14, there were 7,925 cases of infection; on January 13, some 6,409 new cases were recorded; on January 12, some 5,116 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded.
The number of people infected since the start of the pandemic on Tuesday morning was 1.168 million people, some 21,046 people died from COVID-19, and 886,248 people recovered.
Over the past day, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (637), Odesa (453), Zaporizhia (449), Kharkiv (237) and Cherkasy (208) regions.
