Prosecutors withdraw motion for choosing restraint measure to President's Office dpty head Tatarov

Prosecutors, in the trial on the election of a measure of restraint to deputy head of the President's Office Oleh Tatarov, announced the withdrawal of the motion in connection with the possible groundlessness of the suspicion notice presented.

At the beginning of the trial of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) on Wednesday, a representative of the prosecution announced a statement by a new group of prosecutors with a request to withdraw the motion. "We withdraw the motion to choose a measure of restraint in the form of detention ... At the present time, we cannot say that the suspicion was justified," said a representative of the prosecution.

The statement of the prosecutors notes the need to study the case materials in full, for which the prosecutors did not have time after the transfer of the case from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the change of the group of procedural leaders.

Tatarov's defense lawyers fully supported the statement of the prosecutors. The court retired to the deliberation room to make a decision on the prosecutors' application.
