Turkish journalist Yunus Erdogdu has said he has asked the Ukrainian authorities not to extradite him to Ankara.

"We [Turkish citizens] receive at least seven-ten threats every week, not only now, but over the past two years," he told Ukraine's Television News Service (TSN) after two Turkish citizens, including journalist Yusuf Inan, were handed over to the Turkish National Intelligence Organization.

According to Erdogdu, he has not left his house since July 17, fearing for his life.

According to media reports, Erdogdu is the founder of the first Turkish news site ukraynahaber.com and the editor-in-chief of the Turkish-language Vector News agency. He has been working in Ukraine since 2005.
