JFO HQ reports 2 WIA amid 24 enemy attacks in Donbas in past day

Russia's hybrid military forces have mounted 24 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with two Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA), the press centre of the Joint Forces Operation has reported.

"The Russian occupation forces violated ceasefire regime along the contact line, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms, and in certain areas - armament, banned by the Minsk agreements," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on July 14, 2018.

In the Luhansk, Popasna, Svitlodarsk and Horlivka sectors, single shelling of the Ukrainian units was recorded near the villages of Krymske, Kriakivka, Troyitske, Novoluhanske and Pivdenne. At the same time, the enemy used 82mm mortar against the defenders of Novoluhanske, having launched eight shells.

In the Donetsk sector, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms, the enemy shelled the Ukrainian defenders near the town of Maryinka, and the villages of Opytne, Kamianka and Pisky.

"The largest number of attacks was recorded in the Mariupol sector: the invaders violated the ceasefire 12 times. The invaders opened aimed, provocative fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, small arms and proscribed 120mm mortars near the villages of Talakivka, Vodiane, Hnutove, Shyrokyne and Pyshchevyk," the message reads.

According to intelligence reports, four invaders were wounded.
