NATO records daily ceasefire violations in Donbas and calls on Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said.

"In eastern Ukraine, the situation remains serious. With repeated violations of the ceasefire and human rights every day. The Minsk Agreements remain the path to peace. So all parties need to implement their commitments. And Russia has a special responsibility. It must withdraw its troops and its support for militants in Ukraine," he said at a press point with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Brussels on Thursday morning.

He stated that the North Atlantic Alliance is firm in its support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

"And we strongly condemn Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea," Stoltenberg said.
