Chief of Ukrainian Exchange Tkachenko resigns

Head of the Ukrainian Exchange (Kyiv) Oleh Tkachenko has resigned, according to the website of the stock exchange.

"I have lived with the Ukrainian Exchange for a significant part of my life, but it's time to move on. I want to wish the team, with whom we have been together for ten years, further success in the speediest implementation of all that has been conceived. I am confident that the exchange will remain one of the most active drivers for the development of the Ukrainian stock market," he said.

The board of the Ukrainian Exchange accepted the resignation on May 24 and decided to delegate the powers of acting chairman of the exchange to his first deputy Yevhen Komisarov from June 1.

The Ukrainian Exchange was established on May 15, 2008 by the leading participants in the Ukrainian securities market in conjunction with the Russian stock exchange RTS. It started trading in March 2009 and was the first to launch the market of applications, Internet trading, a REPO market, settlements through the central counterparty and a futures market.

Tkachenko has headed the exchange since its establishment.
