MP Poliakov fails to turn over 2 foreign passports

MP from People's Front Maksym Poliakov, who is accused of bribery, has not turned over two foreign passports, according to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO).

During a hearing in Kyiv's Solomiansky District Court, prosecutor Valentyn Musuyaka, citing information from the State Migration Service, said Poliakov possesses two passports for foreign travel and has turned over neither as of August 7.

According to the Kyiv-based Interfax-Ukraine news agency, the court on August 8 will hear a motion to seize pretrial bail bond posted by Poliakov. Prosecutors say grounds for the motion are Poliakov's failure to be fitted with an electronic bracelet and failure to turn over passports.

As earlier reported, Poliakov is suspected of violating Part 4 of Article 368 (bribery) of Ukraine's Criminal Code.
