Most ceasefire violations in Donbas observed in Avdiyivka, Yasynuvata, Donetsk airport
Security levels had dropped near Avdiyivka, Yasynuvata and the Donetsk airport, OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) Principal Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug said.
The conflicting sides have yet to pull back their weapons to security zones - the weapons are still in use - while troops have not just failed to withdraw to safe distances but have even moved forward, Hug said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday, referring to the OSCE SMM's observations.
The number of ceasefire violations has grown since the previous week, he said.
Three quarters of the violations happened in Avdiyivka, Yasynuvata and the Donetsk airport area, Hug said.
OSCE SMM monitors saw dangerous developments near Mayorsk, north of Horlivka, where the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) deployed a roadblock about one kilometer from the Ukrainian army's positions, he said.
The observers have seen similar advancement, most markedly on the Yasynuvata-Avdiyivka line, Hug said.
